Every book of hers that I have read has a believable plot, characters I can care about, and good writing. The author knows her craft. This is another great book by Anne Cleeves. Inspector Ramsay keeps you entertained in a low-level way, with a strong cast of characters and you never quite know "who done it" until the end. Her writing is superb and the characters keep getting better and better. Rich creativity with simple elegance.
